The headline reads “Woman dead after eating at Geylang Serai food stall” and everyone freezes for a second reading it. It is indeed scary and if you read on, the story goes on to say that the woman had earlier eaten rojak (a spicy fruit salad) at the food stall and was later feeling ill.
She then slipped into a coma and was put on life support system before she eventually passed away. She was amongst more than a hundred people who fell ill upon consuming the food at that stall.
It’s really frightening how fragile life is. All the more we need to live life and live each day as if it were our last. You just never know what can go wrong. This example is one to remind us that we should not take our time on earth for granted.
