The popular American game show Moment of Truth has taken a toll on many people’s relationships. And yet, for money, people are willing to risk ruining their relationships with loved ones, some resulting in ruining their marriage and life altogether!
Is a big amount of money worth ruining your relationships? Is it worth walking down the path of a failed marriage? The host of the game show would always stop to ask the participants if they still want to carry on the game, amidst high tensions seen in the faces of his or her family members. And more often than not, the participants are still charged up to go ahead with the game, knowing that there are more damning questions to come.
What’s surprising also is that some of the participants’ supporters, be it spouse, partner or family members, would also encourage the participants to move ahead with more questions! Is it not damaging enough to have sensitive information and hurtful secrets revealed to people who matter?
It is one game that I will never put myself through, for any amount of money. And I wouldn’t want any of my family members to be a part of it in any way too. It’s just too damaging. Everyone has some dark past that they want to forget and leave behind. Let’s just leave it there and not get paid to bring them all up again.
