In the years that we were growing up, many kids still dreamed of going for noble professions like being teachers, nurses and doctors, etc. However, in today’s society I don’t think many are geared towards these professions anymore. Today, there are all sorts of choices in terms of grooming up a career. Not only are there more specialists in each field, there are many more young entrepreneurs too who are all determined and innovative.
Gone are the days where parents have to search for great teacher’s college, law schools or medical assisting schools. Children these days prefer to do the research on their own when choosing a profession. The days of the internet has enabled people to be more resourceful.
I also think that because of this medium, a lot of ideas are shared and people are exposed to so many options that they think the ways of the past are old fashioned and thus they go for something new.
Is that why the demand for noble professions are getting weaker by the years too? Food for thought.
