I was listening to some great audio programs and some of these gurus who are very successful in life advocate watching less TV if we too want to be as successful as them. They suggest we do more in that time rather than to indulge in relieving stress or getting entertained by the idiot box.
One guru asked a simple question of how much our televisions actually cost us and for many of us, we will take that question to mean how much we bought our TV sets for. But in actual fact, the gurus demonstrate that the TV sets cost us money to watch it.
How profound. I do love watching some programs and admit to being hooked on them. But I guess I have to start cutting back and do more. Once in a while, maybe I should allow myself an hour or two a week to hang out in front of the TV set. What about you, how much time do you spend watching TV?
