When do computer games start?

I was wondering when a child normally gets introduced to computer games. I guess this is also dependent on whether the parents (fathers, mostly) are into them in the first place. I can’t imagine us, who are not computer gamers at all, introducing things like PS3 and Wii to our son. We don’t even own any of such gadgets.

I would like to think that maybe not all kids are exposed to them these days. There really are better things for them to do than to get hooked on such games. I’m sure gamers would heartily disagree with me, but that’s because they are already hooked!
