How to compartmentalise weight loss?

It’s quite common that many people want to lose weight from a certain part of their bodies, the most common areas being either the bottom that needs reducing or the tummy. Frankly, I have no idea how people work on that, perhaps when they go to the gym and get professional trainers to help them, it works. If you just count on doing it yourself via diets and exercises, I doubt we know exactly what to do. What’s more for those who are more sophisticated and want to be losing abdominal fat!
