When purchasing and using any electrical item, always check first on the safety aspects of the equipment. Check the voltage and the wiring to make sure that nothing is faulty. I have a friend whose dad died because he was electrocuted and it’s really sad because it is something that could have been avoided with some care put in place.
I am especially wary of stuff like a hair dryer, heated blanket and even escalators at shopping malls. You just never know if they are safe. I even read that last year a boy was electrocuted and killed when he leaned on a lamp post.
Nothing should be taken for granted. So be aware that such accidents do happen and take more safety precautions wherever you can.
