For me, it depends on how long my trip is, where it is to and also during the season I’m traveling. I used to work with a company that bought all year round of medical travel insurance plans for everyone because it was more worth while since we had to travel all the time. But for my personal travels, I will pick and choose because these kinds of medical plans aren’t cheap to begin with.
But is this a necessity when traveling? In this time and age, I think it is. It’s better to be safe than sorry and to spend a little more on some assurance and comfort level than to fork out medical expenses in a foreign land.
The reason for this post is because it’s the hloliday and travel season seeing that it’s year end. So I hope you will consider such a purchase when you’re packing your bags for that great year end holiday coming up
